About
Misty Morales is the Founder of M. Morales Law, a practice focused on guiding organizations through realignment, conflict resolution, and business modernization. Her work spans employment, negotiation, organizational change, and technology-driven transformation—helping businesses move forward while protecting the people that make the business work.
After an early career in teaching, Misty attended law school, where she focused on constitutional law, employment law, privacy, and religion. Her studies fostered a deep appreciation for the importance of protecting both individual autonomy and institutional integrity within complex systems.
Following law school, she joined a rapidly growing mid-market oil and gas company as in-house counsel, where those principles met the realities of business. Over the course of 15 years in-house, her role expanded well beyond traditional legal work, leading initiatives in innovation strategy, complex commercial arrangements, and financial optimization during periods of market volatility. Her work culminated in significant leadership through ownership restructuring and brand reinvention, giving her a deep understanding of the legal and human dynamics that shape closely held businesses.
Recognizing that many organizations face similar challenges without access to integrated business and legal counsel, Misty founded M. Morales Law to provide a more thoughtful and efficient model. Her boutique practice is designed to support founder-led and closely held businesses navigating moments of disruption—where decisions shape both the organization and the people within it.
